Anne Wirth was born and raised in Colorado. She received a journalism scholarship to St. Johns College. She and her husband traveled extensively in the United States and due to their work lived in Alabama, Florida, Montana, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Utah, California, Colorado and Nebraska. She always loved history and had a great curiosity about the Civil War. By residing in the numerous states, it has enabled her to visit first-hand and research many aspects of the Confederate States’ participation in the war. Anne and her husband live in Arizona with a Golden Retriever and two Red Irish Setters. She says, “the history and hospitality of the south makes me want to return again and again”.
